I would think that at the minimum we would be combing audio, text, and graphic elements. Animations and video would also be possibilities depending on your skill level.
I think that transferring a message from a text in indesign to a graphic in photoshop or illustrator then to a flash medium done in flash would illustrate the importance of medium to a message as well as transferring projects from one program to another. Then working from a web-based project to a print based project would be helpful to know as well.
For the multi medium assignment, I think we would be fine combining text, graphics, and potentially audio/video, perhaps to convert file types or color schemes.
I agree with everyone else. Something that involves, graphics, text and audio would be great. I am in the process of creating a logo for my daughter’s hockey team. Eventually, I would like to use that logo in a website (using audio elements along with graphic design) and of course, some text. I would also like the logo to be used on our team jackets so it has to be something that can be embroidered on an item like that. However, this is a whole lot for me to do accomplish so I’d just like to learn Flash for now.
I’m going to agree with everyone again, but emphasize audio for myself. I enjoy recording things and do some home recording for music related stuff and think that incorporating audio into the mix would be fun.
Well, multi means more than one, so trying to combine visual and audial designs will be the most important. The design can be continued visually by using Flash to move the image over time. Designs that can also be used in a 3-dimensions could also be another form of media, such as an ad that is place on a box or around a pole, etc.
I think since I’ve been leaning toward professional development related items, such as resumes and cover letters, I could put together an impressive resume in InDesign, using a graphic element created and refined in PhotoShop and Illustrator. I could create a flash file that cycles through some of my portfolio-quality work. It would be very cool if I could then do something with audio. I’m not sure what I could do yet, but I have a little time to think about it.
My project is featuring a small amount of text, audio, photographs, and the ability for flash to create pretty (though for me, simple) effects. I believe combining things such as this allows for a fair amount of experimentation with multimedia.
