Shelley: I plan to create a newsletter that is something that I send out to family and friends to keep them up to date on our busy schedules and what is happening in our daily lives. Many of my family members are older and do not use the resources of online media to communicate and they enjoy getting up-to-date information about our family via these newsletters.
Mitzi: I plan on combining my logo with information regarding my son to market his abilities to play football.
J.R.: I plan to use my logo to create a T-shirt design to make available to other members of my fraternity.
I plan on using Indesign to update and revise a project that I did for Keweenaw Pride last Spring. It started in revisions when we had to do a graphic design, and I made a poster for the Gay?! Fine by Me! T-shirt give away that KP dose every year. I ended up using Microsoft Word for most of it though since I didnt know how to use any of the other programs. I’d like to take my first design for this event and update it now that I have a little more design knowledge.
InDesign is great for document layouts, especially shorter, graphically-intense designs, so I’ll be “publishing” a chapter from a user manual I rewrote for my company back in June. With InDesign I’ll have massive control over the location of the text, its relationship to other textual and graphical elements in the design, and allow delivery control orders of magnatude above what Word can accomplish.
